This is a thrilling and incredibly well-researched historical fiction thriller. It mentions real people, and while some of their actions are fiction, author John Winn Miller does an incredible job of staying true to their characters. He expertly paces the book with increasing tension. 

 

He is very knowledgeable about political ploys and military and espionage agendas, and the scenes he creates feel extremely legitimate and factual. The whole structure of the book is perfectly set up. Miller’s main character, Jake Rogers, is exactly the kind of stand-up guy that readers fall in love with. He’s a brave hero who never quits and knows the meaning of sacrifice and honor.

With incredible plotting, narration, and admirable characters, RESCUE RUN is an astonishing feat in its genre.
